摘要
Multidisciplinary education and team-based care continue to be standard in academia and practice because they have been shown to improve patient care and outcomes. Health care programs offer interprofessional educational experiences to best prepare clinicians for practice. Faculty from advanced practice nursing and athletic training collaborated to create an interprofessional educational experience using simulation and case studies. The collaborative learning experience helped to broaden role identification and scope of practice and enhance understanding of the health care delivery system. A survey was used to obtain quantitative and qualitative data from nurse practitioner, athletic training, and public health students to assess students' interprofessional education self-perceptions.
