摘要
The dual-task nature of exergames makes them a promising tool for motor-cognitive health interventions to promote healthy aging. However, interdisciplinary design approaches are required to bridge the gap between exertion and game-related research disciplines. In this paper, we present a theory-based design process for a mixed reality exergame intervention that aims to provide effective and enjoyable motor-cognitive training. Our approach combines the Trail-Walking-Test, a widely used clinical test that measures the interference of dual motorcognitive tasks, with a formal framework to game design. We extend the Design Dynamics Experience Framework of game design to encompass the context of exergames and interdisciplinary collaborations, drawing from perspectives in human movement science to establish a shared formalism. By adopting this framework and systematically deconstructing and translating the test into the language of game design, we contribute that an effective and enjoyable exergame intervention can be designed based on the results of an early user study, playtests, and expert assessments.
