摘要
The experience of contact involves attention and focusing on what is experienced on an emotional, bodily and thought level. This concept of Gestalt psychotherapy today is based on various psychotherapeutic models and techniques; and it is necessary to investigate whether the experience of contact is the basis of change and effectiveness in psychotherapy. A case study was developed with a mixed design and process-result research methodology, applying experiential techniques to a 19-year-old client over seven video-recorded sessions. Segments with high levels of experience were selected, according to the EXP Scale to categorize change processes. The observed effects were analyzed by comparing the pre- and post-scores of the State/Trait Depression Questionnaire (ST/DEP), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and Ryff Scales of Psychological Wellbeing, and the perceived effects through a Final Change Interview. The results showed that psychotherapy was effective and that the therapeutic effects were related to change processes.
