摘要
A new genus and species of Monotomidae, Rovnoeurops mckellari gen. et sp. nov., placed in the tribe Europini, is described and figured from Late Eocene Rovno amber. An extinct monotomid genus is documented in Cenozoic amber for the first time. Rovnoeurops gen. nov. can be distinguished from 27 extant genera of Europini by the combination of the following characters: distinct, short pubescence of dorsum, neck constriction behind eyes absent, short temples, stout antennae, 2-segmented antennal club, finely crenulate lateral pronotal margins, pronotum with median impression, regular elytral punctation, long femoral lines and intercoxal process of abdominal ventrite 1 widely rounded.
