摘要
In accordance with the theory of frontier zones, the article examines the formation and development of the cultural type of the Caucasian frontier. The authors note the fortress cities as the main space for the formation and spread of the frontier type of culture. Due to the heterogeneous space of the frontier as a whole, the polyethnic and polyconfessional environment of the urban space, a model of tolerant attitudes of the frontier and susceptibility to acculturation phenomena is being formed.
