Polyaniline modified Cu2+-Bi2O3 nanoparticles: Preparation and photocatalytic activity for Rhodamine B degradation

摘要
Polyaniline-modified Cu2 +-Bi2O3 nanocomposites were prepared and characterized for morphology, phase structure, elemental constitution, and optical properties by using relevant techniques like SEM, XRD, EDX, UVDRS, and PL, respectively. The photocatalytic tests for RhB removal demonstrated that heterostruc-tured Cu2 +-Bi2O3/polyaniline enabled the separation and transfer of photoinduced charge carriers, and the highest activity of 97.21 % in 30 min was shown by the sample Cu2 +-Bi2O3/polyaniline (5 wt %). Mod-ification with polyaniline could efficiently enhance the catalytic activity of Bi2O3, and finally, a possible mechanism of degradation was presented.(c) 2022 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
