摘要
Stockmayer's formula for the weight average of cross -linked primary chains is extended to the z -average degree of polymerization DPz. This average is a function of the weight- and z -average degree of polymerization lambda(w) and lambda(z) of the primary chain distribution and the branching density a: DPz= lambda(z)(1+a)(3)-lambda(2) (w)a(2)(3+a)/(1-a(lambda(w)-1))(2)(1+a). Higher averages of branched polymers from monomers of type A(f) and BA(f-1 )with functionalities f >= 2 are discussed.
