摘要
Aim We investigate which competencies are relevant for physician leaders in the hospital of the future. Method Assessments of actors and stakeholders from the healthcare sector were collected in a qualitative design through expert interviews. Results Medical expertise dominates in filling physician leadership positions. Analytical and strategic thinking, organizational talent and decision-making skills, communication skills, understanding of business contexts, knowledge of care systems and ethics, as well as change and digital competence are gaining in importance. Conclusion Good physician leaders have strong communication skills, are visionaries and mission leaders, and bring the ability to change. Special technical skills such as programming languages, on the other hand, are not significant.
