摘要
With the growing global attention to sustainability policies, factors that facilitate or impede these policies also draw more attraction. Employees' green behavior (EGB) is one of the important determinants of success in achieving sustainability goals. To achieve and implement sustainability policies, organizations are trying to implement factors that lead to green behaviors of employees to protect the environment. This study investigates the role of green organizational culture (GOC) in achieving EGB through the mediation of perceived organizational support (POS) and green organizational identity (GOI). For this purpose, the data of 218 questionnaires collected from 41 Iranian manufacturing companies were analyzed using the partial least squares method. The finding implies that green organizational culture GOC indirectly results in EGB through the two mediating roles of POS and GOI, and because of the great strength of mediating variables in explaining the relationship between GOI and EGB, the direct relationship between these two variables was found to be insignificant. This study states that organizations can create green behaviors in their organization if they implement policies related to green identity and try to create suitable working conditions and support employees. If employees understand the support of the organization and identify with the organization, green behaviors will be performed by them. In this way, by creating a green culture, an organization indirectly causes the green behavior of its employees.
