摘要
Additional aspects to consider when creating figures containing proteins is whether they have any post-translational modifications (PTMs) that you want to depict, or if you want to show them engaging in protein- protein interactions (PPIs) or as part of a protein complex. In this fifth TrendsTalk of the Special series: Scientific figure development, previous TiBS authors share their thoughts on the following questions: how do you decide how to represent your PTM and/or PPI schematics? What program(s) do you prefer for generating such figures and why? What aspects do you consider when generating a protein schematic figure?
