摘要：

Only in cases of low clinical probability can thrombosis be excluded by a negative D-dimer test. In all other cases, prompt diagnostic imaging is required. Duplex-assisted compression sonography is considered the method of choice. The technical procedure was discussed in the first part of this advanced medical training (Phlebologie 3/2023). In this second part, after classifying compression sonography in the diagnostic algorithm, typical pathological findings are demonstrated.
