摘要
The Mg-based alloy with in-situ formed Ti0.35V0.35Nb0.2Cr0.1 medium-entropy alloy (MEA) nanoparticles was first prepared by a facile mechanochemistry method to resolve its sluggish hydrogen storage kinetics. This novel alloy can absorb a hydrogen capacity of approximately 0.70 wt.% at room-temperature and 2.62 wt.% at 100 & DEG;C with faster kinetics, where its apparent activation energy was greatly decreased to 85.1 kJ mol-1 from 163.7 kJ mol- 1 for pure Mg. The in-situ construction of MEA nanoparticles serves as a catalytic agent that was confirmed as an efficient route to improve hydrogen storage kinetics of Mg-based alloy.
