A simulation of the large vortices, formed in the flow of an incompressible viscous fluid around a sphere at different Reynolds numbers, has been carried out. Dependences of the local and integral characteristics of such a flow on its initial parameters are presented. Results of the numerical calculations performed were compared with the corresponding experimental data and with the available correlation dependences for the drag and heat-transfer coefficients of a fluid flow around a sphere.
