摘要
The Anthropocene, a concept for a new geological epoch and thus considered to be the current moment in natural history, is at the same time the event of a radical transformation of a supposed universal history. Human history, reaching its catastrophic climax, seems to be extinguishing a certain natural history with the tendency to transform the entire planet into a product or residue of human activity. This essay is a reflection on the meaning of history in its difference between human history and natural history and proposes the need for a revolutionary moment that safeguards the uniqueness and value of historical work for a balanced coexistence between the human and the non--humanin a possible earthly future.
