摘要：

Over time, different approaches to the ligament line of the face were reported. Vertical or oblique, it was described to divide the face into anterior mobile and posterior fixed anatomically. This line has been used to guide cosmetic procedures due to differences in soft tissue arrangement and mimetic muscles. Despite this justification, the previous description of this line virtually linked ligaments from the temporal region until the mandibular line, not obeying the fixed and movable face. The authors revisited this line, unifying the anatomy structures and facial functionality, and entitled it as fLL.
