摘要
A handful of studies described the exploration of the preparation of diverse polymer-based materials made from natural resources for use in biomedical and industrial applications. Due to their biocompatibility, biodegradability, and similarity to the extracellular matrix in the human body, biopolymers can be transformed into a variety of forms for use in biomedical applications. These polymer-based dressings protect the wound site and help with a faster recovery of dermal and epidermal tissues. Aloe vera is a plant with various medicinal uses and has been shown effective in treating burns and wounds. Additionally, it is blended with other biopolymers for potential biological uses. The polysaccharides discovered in the Aloe vera leaf gel are discovered to be important for many of the plant's health advantages. Among the gel's biological functions include wound healing, antibacterial properties, antidiabetic benefits, anti-inflammatory effects, anticancer properties, and immunomodulatory characteristics. This study provides an overview of the numerous natural biopolymer-based wound healing materials and their various biomedical uses.
