Myohemoglobinuric nephrosis is acommon fatal complication of traumaticinjuries,especially of wounds sustained inwar time.Often seen among the variouscauses of this condition are the crushsyndrome,violent muscle contusion,andmuscle necrosis after replantation ofsevered limbs.Of 13 patients withtraumatic myohemoglobinuric nephrosistreated at this hospital,10 survived afteremergency treatment and 3 died.2 caseswere neeropsied.We gained our successes after under-going the cyclical repetition of"Practice,knowledge,again practice,and againknowledge."Not having much knowledgeof the disease in the beginning,we wereoften at a loss as to how to proceed in anemergency.After making a series ofclinicopathologic observations and ex-perimental studies,we understood the
