摘要：

There is compelling evidence to substantiate the notion that oxidative stress,in which the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)overwhelms antioxidant defense,is a common feature of many acute and chronic disorders.ROS,the antioxidant system,and multiple redox factors underlie the pivotal roles of acupuncture on oxidative stress.Given the complexity of action mechanisms of acupuncture on oxidative stress,additional studies are needed to identify the most crucial mechanism that is applicable not only in animal models but also in patients suffering from oxidative damage.
