The Problems and Strategies of English Newspaper Teaching

English newspaper is an easily accessible and important source for Chinese English learners.Reading newspapers may not only broaden learners’socio-cultural background knowledge but also enhance their overall English competence and performance.This paper attempts to state the use of English newspapers in the class.It firstly explores the importance of English newspapers,and then based on the survey,raises the major problems in the newspaper class in middle schools,and comes up with the solutions and ideal procedures of the teaching of newspapers.
