Any therapy which effectively lowers intraocular pressure in glaucoma is worthwhile, whether it addresses the actual patho-physiologic cause or simply lowers IOP by other means. Although gene-specific or molecular-specific therapies would be ideal, in reality numerous conditions lead to the final common pathway of elevated IOP. A general approach to lowering IOP
