Studies on Flavonoids ⅩⅩ——A Novel Synthesis of β-Naphthaflavanones From 1-Acetyl-2-naphthol

摘要：
1-Acetyl-2-naphthol was treated with aromatic aldehydes in the presence of piperidine for the preparation of the hydroxynaphthachalcones. However, the experimental result showed that the expected product was not formed, but the β-naphthaflavanones were obtained instead. The synthesis of β-naphthaflavanones from β-naphtholethanone directly using piperidine as catalyst has not been reported so far.
