<正> The increased output of crude oil registered in the Rumanian People's Republicin recent years cannot be adequately expressed in the dry and laconic code offigures unless one is familiar with the conditions which preceded and accompaniedthe time in evolution towards the present level of extraction which is unique in thehistory of the Rumanian oil industry.
