On December 23, 2010, the 500-kV Lanxi Substation in Jinhua, Zhejiang passed successfully the acceptance inspection for smart substation by SGCC, which marks the debut of the first EHV smart substation operated in China. The upgrade project adopted several smart technologies independently innovated in China.
