摘要
Emily Dickinson is the most famous legendary lyric poetess of the United States. She perceived death as a gradual pro cess with different functions. In the theme of love, desirable love, treacly love and miserable love are accordingly analyzed, and the paper interprets nature from perspectives of universal images. Through elaborate interpretation and analysis, the paper shows the female poet’s original insights on death, love and nature, shocking readers’ mind, motivating more researches on her poetic themes, and citing more references for further study on Emily Dickinson and her poetry.
