摘要：

Generalized wind wave spectra are proposed. In addition to wind speed they contain duration and fetch as parameters. The proposed spectra simplify wind wave analyses and permit the growth of wave height and period, the minimum duration, and the duration and fetch necessary for the full development of waves to be expressed in analytic forms instead of the ordinary diagrams and charts. Results based on the spectra agree with observations and existing theories.
