<正> Established in 1958,Chengdu Seamless Steel Pipe Plant is a national first-grade enterprise in Chinaand a key specialized one which manufactures most seamless steel pipes with complete variety in China atpresent. It possesses many works such as open-hearth furnace,electric furnace, hot-rolling steel, cold-rolling (cold-drawing) steel,pipe expander and pipe processing etc., as well as power and public systemfor the works. The plant also has four research institutes engaged in steel pipe technology,steel pip equip-ment design,computer control and measure and electronic technique respectively. In 1994,authorized byState Economic Relations and Trade Commission,the plant became the first steel pip technology develop-ment center in China.
