CHINA'S CLOCK AND WATCH PRODUCTION

After several decades ofdevelopment,China’s clock andwatch industry has become acomplete production system,with nearly 200 original clockand watch manufacturers,andan annual production capacityof 50 million watches and 35million clocks.In the past tenyears,the clock and watchfabrication and assemblyindustry in the coastal areassuch as Guangdong and Fujianhas made giant strides,and nowthere are some thousand newly-established clock and watchenterprises,with an annualfabrication and assemblyeapacity of several hundredmillion pieces.China has thusbecome a major clock and watchproducer,ranking third in theworld with respect to totaloutput.
