摘要
<正> Human neutrophil activating protein-1/interleukin-8 (NAP-1/IL-8)is a novel cytokineproduced mainly by monocytes and possessing the neutrophil chemotactic activity and theneutrophil activating activity. In recent years,a great deal of interest has been focused onthis protein which plays an important role in the host defense and inflammatory responsesand has the potential to be used either as an adjuvant or in the cell-specific delivery ofdrugs. The efficient expression of the NAP-1/IL-8 gene in Escherichia coli and the structur-al analysis of the recombinant NAP-1/IL-8 in solution by two-dimensional nuclear magnet-
