摘要：

The eagle is an excellent English poem written by Alfred Tennyson. Though it is short and simple, it gives us a vivid picture of an eagle. My paper aims to analyze this poem using Halliday’s systemic functional grammar to demonstrate Alfred's unique writing and talents in poetry.
