摘要
<正>In this paper a semi-elliptic surface crack problem in an elastic solid of finite size under impact loading is investigated. An analysis is performed by means of fracture dynamics and the finite element method, and a three-dimensional finite element program is developed to compute the dynamic stress intensity factor. The results reveal that the effects of the solid's boundary surface, crack surface, material inertia and stress wave interactions play significant roles in dynamic fracture.
