摘要
This paper critiques Bley-Vroman's influential article"What is the logical problem of foreign language learning?" (1989),challenging his proposal-the Fundamental Differences Hypothesis(FDH).While acknowledging its contributions for highlighting the differences between adult foreign language learning and child language development,this critique argues that there is theoretical and empirical counterevidence suggesting that the FDH is not based on a sound foundation and that the FDH is not free from conceptual difficulties.
