Minimal symmetric submanifolds in compact Riemannian symmetric spaces

摘要：
A necessary and sufficient condition for a symmetric submanifold to be minimal in its ambient compact Riemannian symmetric space is given. By this condition a complete classification of non- minimal symmetric submanifolds in compact symmetric spaces is obtained.
