摘要：

Researches on discourse analysis have been broadly conducted from various perspectives in linguistics. Many of them focus on analyzing the discourse with respect to cohesion, coherence, and the co-operative principle. This paper, however, attempts at the discourse coherence and the understanding of conversational implicature through the application of schema theory in doing discourse analysis.
