The behayiors of 4-aryl-1 (2H)-phthalazinones (1a-c)toward carbon nucleophiles (Grignardreagents) and secondary amine under Mannich conditions as well as the nucleophilic substitution reactionon chlorophthalazine derivatives have been studied.
