元宇宙作为媒介:传播的“复得”与“复失”

摘要
元宇宙预示了数字革命序列中新一轮的技术创新和网络整合,在昭示着互联网产业大变局之时,也同时宣告着对传播领域的重塑和搅动。虽然"元媒介"的概念先于元宇宙而存在,但它却准确预言了在数字时代新旧媒介相互构成、相互塑造、相互依托的辩证关系,基于这种辩证关系,元宇宙正在加固一种"对传播的传播",即"元传播"的过程。于是,作为元媒介和元传播的元宇宙体系以其内在机制和技术特征为数字时代的传播召回了语境与共识、声音与言语,同时显影出此前为我们所忽视的媒介的自反性与基础设施特性。与此同时,元宇宙也以去身体、去真实、去开放和去隐私,警告着传播在这场变革中所面临的风险和危机。
