中间品贸易自由化和企业研发:基于中国数据的经验分析

摘要：

本文旨在研究中间品关税下降对进口企业研发的影响。加工贸易零进口关税,进口中间品不受关税下降的影响。基于这一事实,本文以中国加入WTO作为政策冲击,使用中国制造业企业的进出口数据和自然实验方法进行研究,发现中间品关税的下降提高了企业的研发水平。中间品关税的下降,增加了企业利润,扩大了研发空间,促进企业对已有技术的模拟和吸收。进一步我们发现,中间品贸易自由化对中国企业研发的影响主要体现在生产过程的研发。这是因为作为一个发展中国家,相对于自助研发新产品,中国企业在吸收已有技术、改善生产流程上更具有比较优势。
