The State Power Corporation,restructured from former Ministryof Electric Power,was formally established on January 16,1 997,with total assets of 1800 billion yuan,accounted for 72％ of thenational total power assets of 2500 billion yuan.The salesincome amounted to 400.3 billion yuan in 2001.
