摘要
In recent years, Indian economy has secured a high growth rate, and the country has made progress in its effort to reform and open up. It has attracted a great deal of foreign investment. Its information industry is powerful. Its military might is rising and it is accelerating the process of military modernization. Its international influence is also expanding rapidly. While strengthening its relations with the big powers, India is also trying to improve its ties with its neighboring countries. Nevertheless, India still faces a lot of problems as a regional power.
