About 180 scientists and governmental officials from 11 Asian countries rallied in Beijing on February 21 and 22 to discuss issues concerning energy and the environment. Under the theme of "diffusion of energy-efficient and renewable energy technologies in Asian countries," the two-day workshop was jointly organized by the CAS Institute for Engineering Thermophysics and the CAS Center for International Scientific Exchange under the auspices of the CAS Bureau for International Cooperation and Japan’s Climate Technology Initiative (CTI) and the International Center for Environmental Technology Transfer (ICETT).
