Digital watermarking has been proposed as a viable solution to protect the copyright of multime- dia data in a networked environment ,since it makes possible to embed identification codes into a digital docu- ment. This paper proposes a new scheme for image watermarking in which a watermark is embedded in a se- lected set of wavelet transform coefficients. To ensure the watermark invisibility with high robustness, a bi- nary pseudo-random sequence is embedded into significant wavelet coefficients by exploiting Embedded Ze- rotree Wavelet (EZW) coding algorithm. Experimental results show the effectiveness of this technique.
