摘要：

Several classes of solntion (wavefronts. coalescence of two wavefronts, solutions with Jacobi elliptic function) of the Fitzhugh-Nagumo equation and the generalizedFitzhugh-Nagumo equation are constructed by the Cole-Hopf quotient and the elementarytransformations, some of which are new solutions. The close relation of the generalizedFitzhugh-Nagumo equation and Emden equation are also found.
