At the 2008 National Conference for Science and Technology Awards held earlier this year in Beijing, CAS scientists were honored with 17 second prizes of the National Natural Science Awards, 3 prizes of the Awards for Technical Invention and 14 prizes for National Awards for S&T Progress, respectively. The following is a brief introduction to some CAS projects honored by the National Natural Science Awards.
