摘要：
Traumatic or iatrogenic metallic foreign body retainedin the heart is not a rare entity.Infective endocarditisassociated with a retained nonmetallic foreign body isexceptionally rare.This report describes what we believeis the case of a special nonmetallic foreign body(abamboo stick)retained in the heart,complicated bydelayed Serratia marcescens endocarditis in a boy whohad previously unrecognized injury of his heart.
