China Outlines Measures to Ensure Food Safety Chinese authorities on Dec.192013 unveiled a package of measureto ensure food safety in 2014,as themore affluent public shows greatecare in what they eat.The measures drawn up by theexecutive office of the food safetycommission under the State CouncilChina’s Cabinet,range from legislation amendments to measures againsviolations of food safety.The office called for more rigorous checks,in particular duringholidays like new Year and SpringFestival,to prevent major food safetyincidents in 2014.
