SOME PROBLEMS ON EXPLOITATION OF CHINA'S COAL RESOURCES

At the Second World Conference on Coal held recently in London,a consensus was reached on the principal and continuing role played by coal on the world market in the years to come because of its abundant reserves and low price.It is estimated that,if calculated with the current speed of annual exploitation,the mining of hard coal deposits across the world can go on for about 170 years and the brown coal output can be maintained for 390 years.So,in the near future,coal will still hold the lion’s share in the global composition of energy supply and the soaring demand for it by the world community
