摘要
In second language acquisition, motivation is a key factor affecting students’study performance and effect. This paper aims at investigating and analyzing non-English majors’motivation (including Integrative Motivation and Instrumental Motivation ) in learning oral English in an average technological university by questionnaire. The author makes a comparison between the functions of different motivations, then comes to the conclusion that motivation directly affect study performance and achievement; during the learning process, two types of motivation may co-exist, but for students in average technological universities, instrumental motivation plays a more important role in oral English learning than integrative motivation.
