The teaching outline of middle school English designates that English teaching aims at training the students’ ability in listening,speaking,reading,and writing.How to improve them is always a question puzzling most teachers and students.Many students have learned English for several years,but they are afraid of expressing themselves either in spoken English or in written English.The essay will mainly discuss the importance of English speaking and writing and the methods of improving them.
