全球土地利用与覆盖变化(LUCC)研究及其进展

Land-use/land-cover changes (LUCC), as a long-term international research project,is central to the interests of the science of globle environmental change. It is asignificant agent of change with influences, and is affected by, climate change, lossof biodiversity, and the sustainability of human-environment interactions. It isclearly an essential component in all considerations of sustainability. The focusareas of LUCC project are land-use dynamics, land-cover changes and regional andglobal models. Since 1995, when LUCC project was proposed, a great progress on manyaspects has been achieved, which is significant to the research on land science inthe future, and to the sustainability of land resources in China.
