Boundary element analysis for elastic and elastoplastic problems of 2D orthotropic media with stress concentration

摘要
Both the orthotropy and the stress concentrationare common issues in modern structural engineering.Thispaper introduces the boundary element method(BEM)intothe elastic and elastoplastic analyses for 2D orthotropic me-dia with stress concentration.The discretized boundary ele-ment formulations are established,and the stress formulaeas well as the fundamental solutions are derived in matrixnotations.The numerical procedures are proposed to analyzeboth elastic and elastoplastic problems of 2D orthotropic me-dia with stress concentration.To obtain more precise stressvalues with fewer elements,the quadratic isoparametric ele-ment formulation is adopted in the boundary discretizationand numerical procedures.Numerical examples show thatthere are significant stress concentrations and different elas-toplastic behaviors in some orthotropic media,and some ofthe computational results are compared with other solutions.Good agreements are also observed,which demonstrates theefficiency and reliability of the present BEM in the stressconcentration analysis for orthotropic media.
