Glycolipid is the major component of the Acholeplasma laidlawii (A. laidlawii) membranes and amount to 50% of the total lipids. The physiological function of membrane glycolipids is little known. In the present work we have studied the glycolipid composition and physical properties of A. laidlawii AIH 089 (a new strain)
